How to make it

  • Beat cheese with whisk till creamy.
  • Blend in fork beaten eggs.
  • Add peel and butter.
  • Gradually add enough flour to bind mixture into thick batter consistency.
  • Set aside for 2 hours
  • Then put at least an inch of oil in a heavy duty skillet and heat medium high.
  • Drop batter by Tbs at a time and they should puff up in balls.
  • Drain on paper toweling.
  • Place on platter and pour on the honey over fritters
  • Serve at once
