AMISH BROWN SUGAR PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dawson Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 12 ounce can evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions
  1. Preheat over to 350.
  2. In pie shell place brown sugar, flour and salt and mix well with your fingers.
  3. Pour evaporated milk over flour and sugar but do not mix or stir.
  4. Dot with butter and cinnamon then bake 50 minutes.
