PIE CRUST COOKIES This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Clover Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1989.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Preserves

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except preesrves then roll out very thin.
  2. Cut into squares then put preserves in middle then fold corners over.
  3. Sprinkle with powdered sugar then bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
