The REAL Baked Potato Soup Smoked Recipe
after looking over the many "baked potato soup" recipes i found that none were like mine, so here is mine, main difference in mine is preparation and the cheese

Ingredients
  • 5 large idahos
  • 1 pound of smoked sharp cheddar
  • 12 oz of smoked bacon
  • 12 oz half/half
  • 1 bunch of green onions
  • 8 oz mozzarella
  • add spices that fit your desire
  • add whole milk to adjust consistancy

Directions
  1. scope the potatoes and set aside
  2. cook the bacon and crumble and set aside
  3. cut up the onions and saute
  4. grate the cheese
  5. start with low heat in a large heavy pan add the potatoes and the half/half add the whole milk until the consistency is to your liking
  6. add in the rest of the ingredients saving some of each to garnish the top if you like ...... just for looks,
  7. dont forget to add spices if you like such as garlic, salt, onion powder,
  8. the 8 oz mozzarella makes for an adventure omit it if you don't like adventure.
  9. KEYS: watch the consistency, the milk and cheese will play games with you, this is a true soup rather than a gravy. and is fully adjustable.
