How to make it

  • Heat the stove/hob/grill/barbecue to medium-low settings.
  • Combine beef, onion, and garlic in a large bowl by hand.
  • Add the egg and mush around some more.
  • Then add the soy sauce last and mush around one more time.
  • Make patties into 5 equal portions by hand.
  • If using a frying pan (because I'm sad and don't have a barbecue here in England booooooo), then put a small amount of olive oil on the pan and place the patties on there. f you have a BBQ, then don't worry about this step.
  • Cook until you can see browning about half-way up the patty, then flip.
  • Put on a bun (or not) and enjoy! I really liked it with ketchup and sweet chili sauce. MMM!
