How to make it

  • Sugar syrup - bring water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves. Pour into a bowl and cool
  • Squeeze lemons and discard seeds
  • Put juice and pulp in a large pitcher
  • Stir in the cooled sugar syrup and water
  • Cover and refrigerate lemonade until chilled
  • Optional: you can reserve some of the lemonade and some mint sprigs into ice cube trays and make lemonade ice cubes to serve with the drink....makes a nice presentation for company!
