Sugar Cookies For Decorating

I got this recipe in a package of cookie cutters that I purchased years ago. I use it for every holiday and my kids decorate them.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400
- Cream butter and sugar with mixer
- Beat in egg and vanilla
- Combine flour and baking powder
- Mix in dry ingredients a cup at a time
- On floured surface roll out dought o 1/8" thick
- Dip cutters in flour before each use
- Bake on parchment lined cookie sheet on top rack of oven for 6-7 min.
- Cool on racks
- Decorate as desired
