How to make it

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Combine flour, mustard, salt and pepper in large bowl.
  • Cut in or rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
  • Add cheese.
  • Gently stir in egg and milk in small bowl.
  • Stir into flour mixture just until mixture comes together.
  • Turn dough out onton lightly floured surface.
  • Gently knead 10 to 12 times.
  • Pat into 8 inch disk.
  • Cut dough into 8 wedges; separating slightly.
  • Bake 400 degrees for 17 to 20 minutes.
  • Transfer to wire to cool.
