Cheesy Scones

- 2 cups self rising flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground hot red pepper shopping list
- 3 tablespoons unslated butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine flour, mustard, salt and pepper in large bowl.
- Cut in or rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
- Add cheese.
- Gently stir in egg and milk in small bowl.
- Stir into flour mixture just until mixture comes together.
- Turn dough out onton lightly floured surface.
- Gently knead 10 to 12 times.
- Pat into 8 inch disk.
- Cut dough into 8 wedges; separating slightly.
- Bake 400 degrees for 17 to 20 minutes.
- Transfer to wire to cool.
