How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • in a square or pyrex cake pan sprinkle generously with the brown sugar.
  • place the pears on top of it. set side
  • lightly spoon the flour into your measures
  • pour flour ad bakng powder in sieve over medium/small bowl.set aside.
  • cream butter or margerine in a medium bowl
  • gradually add sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
  • add 1 egg and mix in until smooth.
  • alternately mix in the milk and flour mixture starting and ending with flour.
  • after its all combined, pour into the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until it tests done.
