How to make it

  • fry bacon crisp, crumble
  • butter bread slices
  • in a buttered baking dish, alternate layers of bread with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon
  • in a bowl mix 5 eggs, well beaten with the milk, dry mustard and salt and pepper
  • pour egg mixture over bread and cheese
  • cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight
  • cover souffle with aluminum foil
  • set in pan of hot water to bake 350 degrees F one hour
  • let set for 5 minuites before serving
