Jam or Preserve Filled Butter Cookies

- 3/4 cup butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 fresh egg shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- jam or preserves ( apricot, blueberry, raspberry, pineapple etc. ) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cream butter and sugar together until well blended.
- Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Blend in flour and baking powder.
- Refrigerate dough for 2 hours.
- Shape dough into 2 logs on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Make a depression down the center of each log and fill with jam or jelly.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and slice into 1" pieces.
- Cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.
