How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Cream butter and sugar together until well blended.
  • Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
  • Blend in flour and baking powder.
  • Refrigerate dough for 2 hours.
  • Shape dough into 2 logs on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Make a depression down the center of each log and fill with jam or jelly.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and slice into 1" pieces.
  • Cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.
