How to make it

  • Put beans into a deep casserole or bean pot.
  • Mix all ingredients but the pork and pour over the beans.
  • Place salt pork on top and push down under the surface.
  • Add BOILING water to cover the beans.
  • Bake 6-7 hours at 250 degrees .. ( Bake slowly all day )
  • Add water from time to time if necessary to keep beans from getting dry.
  • Makes 18 1/2 cup servings
