This recipe goes with just about anything,and is so easy to make.

Ingredients
  • 4 quarts fresh tomatoes,peeled,seeded and chopped
  • 2 cups chopped onions(white)
  • 2 cups bell pepper ,chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups celery chopped
  • 1 or 2 jalapeno pepper,seeded and chopped,(use more peppers if you want hotter)
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp salt
  • 3 tbsp pickling spice
  • 1tsp ground clove
  • 1 1/2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1tsp dry mustard
  • 2 cups cider vinegar
  • 6 pint jars,ready for sealing

Directions
  1. in a Large pot cook vegetables and sugar for 45 min stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
  2. place the stick cinnamon and pickling spicesin a piece of cloth,tied tight,and cook along with the vegertables.
  3. add the veinegar and cook(simmer)for another 45 min,keep stirring.
  4. BY now the relish should have thickenedand be ready to pour into the 6 jars,if its not thick enough to suit you then simmer longer.
  5. Pour intot he jars and seal,this relish is great on a Buffet table,and makes a great addition to any meat entree.
  6. it also adds a Zip to a sandwich,meat loaf or sliced turkey.

Oh, I can't wait to give this a try. This would make that turkey loaf palatable for sure. Definitely printing this for a try. I'm making the stuffed garlic steak for supper tonight.
