Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 lbs large uncooked shrimp,peeled and deveined
  • 3 tsp cajun seasoning,divided
  • 6 slices smoked bacon,chopped
  • 3 tblsp all purpose flour
  • 2 cups frozen okra(from 16 oz package)thawed
  • 1 12 ounce container cherry tomatoes
  • 1 8oz bottle clam juice
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Directions
  1. Toss shrimp and 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning in med bowl to coat
  2. Cook bacon in large non stick skillet over med-high heat
  3. until crisp and brown
  4. using slotted spoon,transfer bacon to papertowel to drain.
  5. add flour ro drippings in skillet,stir constantly till roux is very dark brown,about 5 min
  6. add okra and cherry tomatoes,stir in remaining 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning cook 1 min.
  7. add clam juice and all spice
  8. boil until saauce is thick,stirring often,about 3 min
  9. add shrimp.
  10. saute shrimp until opaque in center about 5 min
  11. Season to taste with salt and pepper
  12. Mix in choped green onions and cooked bacon
  13. serve
