Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook Zatarans according to the box
  • Note: Don't use as much water as box suggests....use a little less otherwise it will be too soupy!
  • Cook on stove top or in microwave (I prefer stove top)
  • Although box calls for butter or margerine, I used olive oil instead so that it will not stick to the pan and tastes much better too!
  • When cooked (according to box)
  • Add: Corn - amount to taste
  • Add: Salsa - amount to taste
  • Add - Hunts Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes - amount to taste
  • Cut up apple (any kind) with skin left on into tiny pieces add to rice/beans
  • Can add other vegetables as well, your choice
  • Delicious when served cold-I've tried it both ways and it's delicious.
  • Enjoy!

Very interesting -- I don't think we have Zataran's up here in Canada.
