Pot roasts can be difficult to do right, but this old family recipe makes it easy. Goes well with homemade bread or dinner rolls

Ingredients
  • 2 to 4 lbs. Chuck Roast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Dash of pepper sauce
  • 1/2 clove, finely chopped garlic
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 c sliced celery
  • 3 or 4 medium sized potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
  • 3 carrots cut into cubes

Directions
  1. Season roast with salt and pepper sauce
  2. Put in a covered pan
  3. Bake at 300 for 1 hour
  4. Place garlic, onion and celery on top of meat
  5. Place potatos and carrots around it
  6. Cover and bake for 1 hour or untill done.
