Hot Fennel Cheese Dip

- 4 slices bacon, drained and crumbled shopping list
- Save 1 tablespoon bacon grease.** shopping list
- 3 medium fennel bulbs, clean and sliced paper thin shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or more!) shopping list
- 8 ounces mayonaise (not Miracle Whip) shopping list
- 8 ounces light sour cream shopping list
- 4 ounces gorgonzola cheese shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1/4 cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped nuts (or panko if preferred) shopping list
- **Use olive oil if desired shopping list
How to make it
- Saute fennel slices and garlic in bacon drippings or olive oil
- Mix sauted veggies with mayonaise, sour cream, Gorgonzola cheese, salt and pepper.
- Pour mixture in an 8 inch round ceramic baking dish (like the Pampered Chef dish)
- Top with Parmesan cheese mixture.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes
