How to make it

  • Heat a little oil in a fry pan and brown the rice.
  • Add onion, then mince and brown all.
  • Add chutney, curry powder, tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste and splash of soya sauce.
  • Stir thoroughly, stirring frequently.
  • Add greated apple and tamarillo and the water and place lid on pan and cook for approx 30 mins, lifting the lid 10 minutes before serving to allow extra liquid to evaporate
