  • Groceries:
  • heavy duty aluminum foil (a must!)
  • fat salt pork (5 oz.)
  • boneless beef top sirloin steak (1 lb. @ 3/4-inch thick)
  • ground beef (95% lean) (enough for about 2-1/2 lbs.)
  • boneless, skinless chicken breast or thigh meat (if you use chicken, not turkey, in the Easy Chicken Tetrazzini, make sure you have enough for 4-5 cups total of chicken, if not make sure you have enough for about 2 lbs., for the Chicken Yakitori recipe)
  • Salmon (1 lb.)
  • crusty bread (1" thick) (8 slices)
  • taco seasoning (1 package) **see FOR YOUR OWN TACO SEASONING**
  • taco sauce (enough for about 1/3 cup)
  • taco shells (about 4)
  • fig preserves (enough for about 1/2 cup)
  • balsamic vinegar (enough for about 1 cup)
  • mirin (sweet rice wine) (enough for about 1/2 cup)
  • rice vinegar (enough for about 2 Tbs.)
  • soy sauce (enough for about 3/4 cup)
  • asian sesame oil (enough for about 1 tsp.)
  • EVOO (extra-virgin olive oil) (enough for about 8 Tbs.)
  • olive oil (enough for about 5-1/2 Tbs.)
  • vegetable oil
  • cornstarch (enough for about 1/2 tsp.)
  • brown sugar (enough for about 1/3 cup)
  • ketchup (enough for about 1/4 cup)
  • chicken or vegetable broth (enough for about 5 cups)
  • chicken bouillon cubes (about 2)
  • beef bouillon cubes (use Knorr for this recipe) (4 extra large)
  • condensed cream of mushroom soup (1 can)
  • can sliced mushrooms (1 @ 4 oz.)
  • can whole kernel sweet corn (only 1)
  • tomato sauce (enough for about 1/3 cup) **see FOR YOUR OWN TACO SEASONING**
  • long grain white rice (enough for about 5-7 cups)
  • spaghetti (enough for about 6-8 oz.)
  • navy, pea or great northern beans (enough for about 1 lb.)
  • salt (enough for about 3-4 Tbs.)
  • pepper (enough for about 3-4 Tbs.)
  • dry mustard (enough for about 1/2 tsp.)
  • ground cloves (enough for about 1/4 tsp.)
  • garlic powder (you need 2 tsp. if you're going to make your own taco seaoning, if not 1/2 tsp.)
  • fresh parsley (enough for about 2 Tbs.)
  • fresh basil leaves (enough for about 2-3 Tbs.)
  • lemons (about 3, or enough for 2 Tbs.)
  • orange (1 medium)
  • garlic (1 head or enough for about 11 cloves or so)
  • vidalia onions (5 if you're doing the Caprese Polenta Burgers with Vidalia Onions and Beef Bouillon on the grill recipe, if not you only need one for "Mexican night")
  • red onion (1 medium)
  • pearl onions (about 6)
  • scallions (about 4)
  • grape tomatoes (1 pint)
  • vine-ripened tomatoes (enough for about 2-1/2 lbs., or 10 medium)
  • red bell peppers (2 medium)
  • asparagus (1 bunch)
  • green beans (enough for about 1-1/4 lbs.)
  • baby spinach (enough for about 4 cups)
  • shredded lettuce (enough for about 3 cups)
  • frozen peas (enough for about 1 cup)
  • sour cream (enough for about 2 to 2-1/2 cups)
  • butter (enough for about 8 Tbs.)
  • fresh mozzarella cheese (1 package, about 8 oz.)
  • grated parmesan cheese (enough for about 1 cup)
  • shredded cheddar cheese (enough for about 3/4 cup)
  • refrigerated prepared polenta (1 package)
  • garlic croutons (optional) (enough per your taste)
  • grated swiss cheese (optional) (enough per your taste)
  • jalapeno pepper (optional) (only 1)
  • **FOR YOUR OWN TACO SEASONING**:
  • (this is a recipe from "janabeth", if you use this, you can substitute this for the package of taco seasoning mix and the can of tomato sauce called for in "Darianas Easy Mexican Taco Supreme" recipe. Janabeth's taco seasoning is awesome though, and may come in helpful if you have the ingredients handy whenever you need taco seasoning and want to avoid a trip to the store!!)
  • **tomato sauce** (1 can @ 8 oz.)
  • **chili powder** (1 Tbs.)
  • **onion powder** (1 tsp.)
  • **garlic powder** (1-1/2 tsp.)
  • **cumin** (1 tsp.)
  • **oregano** (1 tsp.)
  • **worsteshire sauce** (a few splashes)
  • **for spicy add 1/2 tsp. cayenne or red pepper flake**

  5. 4) Slow-baked Salmon w/Tomato Orange & Basil Sauce with Sauteed Green Beans & Garlic (knwalter)
  6. 5) Easy Chicken Tetrazini (maryelizlawson) with Crusty Garlic Bread (knwalter)
  7. 6) Spring Vegetable Soup with Crusty Bread (knwalter)
