Slow Cooker Turkey Recipe
Who says cooking your bird has to be a lot of work? For the past few years I started doing my turkeys in the slow cooker and they have been quite delectable.

Ingredients
  • 1 (5 1/2 pound) bone-in turkey breast, skinless
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can turkey gravy
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

Directions
  1. Cook the bacon in a heavy skillet on medium heat. Drain on paper towels and then crumble into bits.
  2. Spry your slow cooker with cooking spray and put in your turkey. Seaon this with garlic pepper.
  3. Get a good sized bowl to mix up the crumbled bacon, flour, gravy, Worcestershire, and sage. Pour this mixture over your turkey.
  4. Put your slow cooker on "low" and let it sit for 8 hours. About 4hours in, you can add turkey broth (1.5 cups) in order to keep it nice and moist.

Geez, sure hope my hubby can handle this. The only thing he usually makes are reservation. But now he needs to take over when I go back on chemo.....let's wish him luck!


When you put the turkey in it's not frozen right?
