Ochazuke means Tea-pickle. Its essentially rice with pickled vegetables and tea. It takes little time to make, and is very filling. I know this Japanese dish will sound very strange to westerners...but it is delicious, I promise.

Many don't know it, but Ochazuke, having been made with leftovers, was originally meant to be served to guests to let them know in no uncertain terms, that it was time they were on their way. Very subtle, the Japanese. Good luck with your studies and five
