This is a pie crust I got from our neighbor when I was in High School. After playing around with it, I added the butter and sugar.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup butter (cold, cut up)
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • If you want, for fruit pies, add 1 Tbs sugar. Add with salt

Directions
  1. Add salt to flour and stir.
  2. Cut in shortening and butter, when "peas" are formed, pour in water a little at a time.
  3. If necessary, if you need more water add a tablespoon at a time.
