How to make it

  • Peel and half pears, take core out.
  • Add honey, sugar and water into a pot
  • What you want to do is caramalise the pears and form a sticky, saucy consistency
  • Have it come to boil then simmer for about 20 minutes (the longer you leave the pears in honey sauce for the better the taste, I have left them over night and that worked extremely well)
  • Make sure you keep stirring and turning pears
  • Serve warm or cold
  • Place 2x pears on each plate, pour over some remaining sauce and crumble as much blue cheese as you want on top
