Manuka Pears and Blue

- 2x season Pears, NZ; Taylors Gold is best shopping list
- 3x Tbsp of a favourite good quality honey, NZ; Manuka shopping list
- blue cheese, NZ; Whitestones Windsor Blue shopping list
- 2 Tbsp soft brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup of water shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and half pears, take core out.
- Add honey, sugar and water into a pot
- What you want to do is caramalise the pears and form a sticky, saucy consistency
- Have it come to boil then simmer for about 20 minutes (the longer you leave the pears in honey sauce for the better the taste, I have left them over night and that worked extremely well)
- Make sure you keep stirring and turning pears
- Serve warm or cold
- Place 2x pears on each plate, pour over some remaining sauce and crumble as much blue cheese as you want on top
