Eriettas Breakfast Take-Alongs

- 2/3 cup butter (not margarine) shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups oats shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- 6 slices (1/3 lb.) crispy cooked bacon, crumbled. shopping list
How to make it
- Beat butter, sugar, egg & vanilla in mixing bowl with electric mixer.
- Combine flour, soda, salt, oats, cheese, nuts, bacon in separate bowl with spoon.
- Add dry mixture to creamed mixture till blended.
- Drop by teaspoonful on a lightly greased cookie sheet, about 1" apart.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to a cool plate.
- Serve with cold milk or juice.
- These freeze well for a month or so.
