Sweet and Sour Pork

- 1 pound lean boneless pork shopping list
- 2 green bell peppers shopping list
- 4 slices pineapple shopping list
- ½ cup cornstarch shopping list
- 3 cups vegetable oil shopping list
- cooked rice (optional) shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- ½ teaspoon salt shopping list
- ½ tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cold water shopping list
- 1 egg, lightly beaten shopping list
- seasoning Sauce: shopping list
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar shopping list
- 4 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 4 tablespoons cold water shopping list
- 3-4 tablespoons catsup shopping list
- 5 teaspoons cornstarch shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare ahead:
- Pound pork with back of cleaver to 1” thick, then cut into 1” squares. Soak in marinade for at least 1/2 hour. Cut green peppers into halves, remove the seeds and cut into 1” squares. Cut pineapple into 1” squares.
- Prepare seasoning sauce.
- Cook:
- Heat 3 cups oil. Coat pork with cornstarch and brown for 3 minutes or until brown. Remove and drain. Using a wok, use 2 tablespoons of oil, stir fry peppers. Add pineapple, stirring constantly. Add seasoning sauce and stir until it thickens. Add the pork
