  • GROCERIES:
  • MEATS:
  • smoked ham (enough for 1 cup, chopped)
  • pork loin chops (6 @ 3/4" thick)
  • chicken thighs (8 or about 3-1/2 lbs.)
  • medium shrimp, peeled and deveined (1 lb.)
  • chorizo (2 cups, about 8 oz., chopped)
  • sweet italian pork sausage, casing removed (1 lb.)
  • flank steak (1-1/2 to 2 lbs.)
  • bacon (1/4 lb.)
  • VEGETABLES/FRUIT/HERBS:
  • eggplant (1 large, about 1-3/4 lbs.)
  • garlic (enough for 5 cloves)
  • onion (1 large and 4 medium)
  • scallions (8)
  • white mushrooms (4 packages, 8 oz. each)
  • bell peppers (4 medium)
  • chopped kalamata and/or green pimento-stuffed olives (2/3 cup)
  • salad (1 or 2 bags, enough to serve 4-6 people)
  • frozen artichoke hearts (1 package @ 9 oz.)
  • lemon (1 or 2, enough for 2 tsp. grated peel)
  • fresh dill (enough for 1/3 cup, finely chopped)
  • fresh cilantro (enough to garnish 6 bowls)
  • dried oregano (1 tsp.)
  • paprika (1-1/2 tsp.)
  • cajun seasoning (2 tsp.)
  • DAIRY:
  • grated pecorino-romano cheese (1/3 cup)
  • shredded extra-sharp white cheddar cheese (1-1/4 cups)
  • shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (1 cup)
  • ricotta cheese (3/4 cup)
  • eggs (6 large)
  • butter (enough for about 10 Tbs.)
  • whipping cream (1 cup)
  • BREADS/PASTA/RICE:
  • crusty bread (1 loaf)
  • white rice (enough for about 6 or 7 cups)
  • orzo (1/2 lb.)
  • spaghetti noodles (enough for 4 servings, about 8 oz.)
  • STAPLES/PANTRY ITEMS/SPECIALTY ITEMS:
  • salt (plenty)
  • pepper (plenty, fresh ground if possible!!)
  • flour (2 Tbs.)
  • beef broth (1 cup)
  • chicken broth (1/2 cup)
  • bread crumbs (2-1/2 cups)
  • soy sauce (1/4 cup)
  • salad dressing (your favorite or just use the rest of the caesar that you make for marinating the beef in the exact same recipe!!)
  • EVOO (plenty!!!, but make sure you at least have enough for 1 cup)
  • vegetable oil (1 Tbs.)
  • cooking spray
  • tomato sauce (2 Tbs.)
  • chunky tomato or marinara sauce **SEE NOTES BELOW**
  • dry white wine (1/2 cup)
  • sherry (2 Tbs.)
  • store-bought pesto (3/4 cup)
  • prepared non-creamy caesar dressing (1/2 cup)
  • toasted sesame oil (3 Tbs.)
  • jarred hot cherry peppers (4)
  • quick cooking grits (1-1/4 cups)
  • **I have 3 recipes that call for "pasta/marinara sauce" one of which gives you the choice of using "chunky tomato sauce" or "marinara sauce". Make life easy on yourself and make sure you have enough for 4-1/2 cups of "pasta/marinara sauce", and that will cover you on all 3 recipes!!!!**
