Our House Chicken-tofu Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken or turkey

1 square of tofu- with water drained and pressed off

1 piece of bread

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1 egg

Seasonings to taste: I like garlic/herb marinades, salt, pepper, chunks of garlic, thyme

Directions

Combine ground chicken, tofu and egg with bread and all seasonings

Form patties with hands and place on a plate

Stick in freezer for 5-10 minutes

Heat oven to 350

Remove patties from freezer

Cover each patty with bread crumbs

Heat small amount of oil in pan over light heat

Set patties in frying pan and sear both sides (About 3-5 minutes for each side)

Put on a sprayed sheet tray and stick in the oven until burgers are firm to touch.
