Lemon Tiramisu Recipe
This is a delicious alternative to the standar Tiramisu recipe. Surprise your guests with this lemony dessert.

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter (cubed)
  • 2 oz finely chopped white chocolate
  • 1 tbsp lemon rind
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup mascarpone (or cream cheese)
  • 1 pint whipped cream
  • 1 package lady fingers

Directions
  1. Whist together 6 egg yolks, 1/4 cup flour and 3/4 cup sugar - set aside
  2. Stir together 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup water over medium heat til disolved - set aside
  3. In heavy saucepan, heat 2 cup milk until just bubbling around edges
  4. Whisk 1/2 of themilk into the egg yolk mixture
  5. Whisk egg/milk mixture back into the remaining milk
  6. Cook until boiling and thickened
  7. Add 1/4 cup butter (cubed) and 2 oz of finely chopped white chocolate
  8. Stir until melted
  9. Strain through sieve into a bowl
  10. Add 1 tbsp grated lemon rind and 1/4 cup lemon juice
  11. Place plastic wrap on surface & chill in fridge (up to 2 days)
  12. Whip 1 cup mascarpone (or cream cheese)
  13. Whisk in the chilled lemon custard
  14. Fold in whipped cream (1/3 at a time)
  15. Brush lady finers with lemon syrup (step 2)
  16. Layer ladyfingers and filling
  17. Cover and refrigerate (up to 24 hours)
  18. Garnish with blueberries and mint leaves.
