Bacmommas Rum Cake

- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix shopping list
- 1 (3 3/4 oz) box vanilla instant pudding shopping list
- 1/2 cup light rum shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- Hot rum glaze: shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 stick of butter shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons water shopping list
- 1/4 cup rum shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- preeat oven to 325
- grease and flower bundt pan
- sprinkle nuts in bottom of pan.
- in a large bowl place cake mix and pudding mix
- add rum, water, eggs, and oil
- mix for 2 minutes on medium speed. until smooth
- pour mixture into bundt pan and bake at 325 for 50 to 60 minutes
- remove from oven and pour hot glaze over cake while its still in te pan.
- The hot glaze will cause the cake to settle
- cool in pan for 30 minutes then remove to serving plate.
- Hot Rum Glaze:
- when cake is almost done
- place all ingredients in a small sauce pan and boil for 2 minutes, until syrupy.
- Pour over cake immediately as it comes out of the oven.
