Blue Cheese Toasts With Walnuts

- 6 ounces blue cheese shopping list
- 6 tablespoon unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cognac shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped walnuts shopping list
- 4 slices thin bread shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven or broiler for the toast.
- Cream cheese and butter together.
- Add cognac then season with pepper and stir in walnuts.
- Toast bread lightly on both sides then spread cheese over toast.
- Return it to the oven or broiler just long enough for the butter and cheese to melt.
- Remove toasts from oven then dust with more pepper and cut them into smaller pieces.
- Serve warm.
