How to make it

  • Combine the milk sugar and salt over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil.
  • Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar and salt, and to remove lumps from the coconut milk.
  • Peel the bananas, half them lengthwise, and cut into 2 inch chunks. This should be about 4 cups of banana pieces.
  • When the milk reaches a soft boil, add the bananas and cook until it returns to the boil - 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool in the saucepan. Serve warm.
