How to make it

  • Cut cantaloupes in half and scoop out all the meat.
  • Put cantaloupe chunks into blender; combine with 3 parts rum to 1 part vodka, to 1/4 part Midori (how much alcohol is up to you).
  • Add ice cream, sugar to taste and blend until creamy.
  • (Repeat if needed to use all of melon)
  • Pour mixture back into melon halves.
  • Add mint sprigs for garnish.
  • Add straw. Drink. Enjoy!
  • *For added measure, you can cut patterns into the edge of the melon. If the melon does not stay level, slice a thin part off the bottom of the melon to level it.
