Deer Roast Recipe
This is a typical roast for venision, deer, with potatoes, carrots, and onions.

Ingredients
  • 2-5 lbs deer shoulder or rump roast
  • 4-8 potatoes
  • 1 bag of baby carrots
  • 2 onions
  • beef boulion cubes
  • 1 can of beef broth
  • spices - McCormicks broiled steak seasoning

Directions
  1. Heavily apply the broiled steak sasoning to the deer and place into the center of a roasting pot
  2. chop onions
  3. quarter potatoes
  4. put the onions potatoes and carrots around the sides of the roast
  5. place 2 beef boulion cubes into pot
  6. pour whole can of beef broth into pot carefull not to wash the spices off the deer
  7. cover and place into over at 400 degree for 2 hours
  8. the last 10 minutes remove cover and turn up to 425 degrees
  9. serve and eat hot! Enjoy

This made a tender and tasty roast, but I think it needed more liquid.
