How to make it

  • Cook the butter, brown sugar, light corn syrup and salt to 255 degrees or to soft ball stage.
  • Remove from heat
  • Stir in baking soda.
  • Syrup will foam.
  • Pour over 5 quarts popped corn and stir well.
  • Spread on waxed paper until cool.
  • Or
  • Bake at approximately 250 for 20 minutes or so…stirring occasionally.
