Talk about good this is good. I got this recipe from an 87 year old woman at my mother's retirement party. She made a batch of this and we couldn't get enough of it. It's is incredible. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 large red onion sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions
  1. Sauté onion in butter and oil until caramelized about 20 minutes.
  2. Cool and combine the remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix well and chill at least 1 hour then serve with crackers or chips.
