Sweet and Pungent Meatballs with Pineapple

- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1 onion, grated shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ginger shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed dried hot peppers shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon minced gingerroot shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon dried hot peppers shopping list
- 1 sweet green pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1 sweet red pepper, chopped shopping list
- 2 cups pineapple chunks shopping list
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
How to make it
- Combine first 7 ingredients and form into small, walnut-sized balls.
- Heat oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs. Set aside
- Saute next 4 ingredients until soft, then add next 4 ingredients and heat through.
- Add meatballs into the skillet with vegetables, and turn up the heat.
- Combine last ingredients in a bowl. When skillet is hot, pour in the sauce, stirring until thickened and evenly glazed.
- Serve with rice.
