Walnut Cheddar Muffins

- 3/4 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme crumbled shopping list
- 1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 3/4 cup grated extra sharp white cheddar shopping list
- 3/4 cup buttermilk shaken well shopping list
- 1/4 cup walnut oil shopping list
- 2 large eggs beaten lightly shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 then butter twelve muffin tins.
- In a large bowl whisk together flours, baking powder, salt and thyme.
- Stir in walnuts and cheddar until combined well.
- In a bowl whisk together remaining ingredients and add to flour mixture.
- Stir just until combined then divide batter among muffin tins and bake 15 minutes.
- Cool muffins in tins on a rack 10 minutes and turn out onto rack to cool completely.
