Bananas in Rum Sauce

- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 slices lemon, with rind left on (halfed to look like a 1/2 moon) shopping list
- 4 slices orange, with rind left on (halfed to look like a 1/2 moon) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon rum extract shopping list
- 6 large ripe bananas (no green ones please) shopping list
- 1/4 cup of butter shopping list
- 2 oz Jamaica rum shopping list
How to make it
- Boil water with sugars and fruit until a syrup forms, that will glaze the back of a spoon
- Add rum extract
- Split peeled bananas in half lengthwise
- Saute bananas in butter (yummo)
- Transfer banana halfs to dessert plates and pour sauce over them
- Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of rum per serving
- Also one can heat and flame the rum instead to impress friends. '
- (dont burn house down if you choose to flame your dessert)
