Bananas in Rum Sauce

Nothing goes better with Bananas then rum. This dish is sooo simple, and very yummy. Kids and adults will love this.

2 cups water shopping list
1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
2 slices lemon, with rind left on (halfed to look like a 1/2 moon) shopping list
4 slices orange, with rind left on (halfed to look like a 1/2 moon) shopping list
1 teaspoon rum extract shopping list
6 large ripe bananas (no green ones please) shopping list
1/4 cup of butter shopping list
2 oz Jamaica rum shopping list

Boil water with sugars and fruit until a syrup forms, that will glaze the back of a spoon
Add rum extract
Split peeled bananas in half lengthwise
Saute bananas in butter (yummo)
Transfer banana halfs to dessert plates and pour sauce over them
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of rum per serving
Also one can heat and flame the rum instead to impress friends. '
(dont burn house down if you choose to flame your dessert)
