Bananas In Rum Sauce Recipe
Nothing goes better with Bananas then rum. This dish is sooo simple, and very yummy. Kids and adults will love this.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 slices lemon, with rind left on (halfed to look like a 1/2 moon)
  • 4 slices orange, with rind left on (halfed to look like a 1/2 moon)
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 6 large ripe bananas (no green ones please)
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 oz Jamaica Rum

Directions
  1. Boil water with sugars and fruit until a syrup forms, that will glaze the back of a spoon
  2. Add rum extract
  3. Split peeled bananas in half lengthwise
  4. Saute bananas in butter (yummo)
  5. Transfer banana halfs to dessert plates and pour sauce over them
  6. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of rum per serving
  7. Also one can heat and flame the rum instead to impress friends. '
  8. (dont burn house down if you choose to flame your dessert)
