Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook pasta according to package directions then drain well.
  • In a medium saucepan cook the mushrooms and onion in the butter until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in cream cheese, salt and pepper then cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted.
  • Gradually stir in milk and chives and heat through.
  • Pour sauce over pasta and toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately.

    We wanted something new to have with boneless, skinless chicken breast so tried this receipe. The cream cheese gives it a slight sweet taste. I had to question the 1 1/3 cup of milk. It made the sauce like soup so I had to simmer it for quite a while so that it would thicken. All and all it was good. Next time I may use red or yellow peppers to add some color.
