Warm Caprese Salad

- extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 6-8 heirloom tomatoes shopping list
- 10oz. buffalo or fresh mozzarella,sliced and at room temperature shopping list
- coarse sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/2c basil leaves torn shopping list
- 1/4c chives,cut in 1/2" lengths shopping list
- 1/2c Italian parsley,mint,tarragon and /or soft oregano leaves shopping list
- 2c baby arugula shopping list
How to make it
- Heat grill to med.-hot and brush grates with oil. Trim tops off smaller tomatoes and cut the larger ones very thick(at least 1") Place the tomatoes cut side down on the grill until they begin to warm.,1-2 mins. Turn over tomatoes and top each with a slice of mozzarella. Cook 1-2 mins longer ot till the cheese "slumps". Remove the tomatoes from the grill,drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Mix the herbs and arugula to make a salad and scatter around the tomatoes.
