AWESOME BRISKET OF BEEF This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Martinez Estate in Mansfield, Texas in 1994.

Ingredients
  • 3 large white onions
  • 8 whole allspice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
  • 6 pound beef brisket sliced paper thin

Directions
  1. Remove any excess fat from brisket but leave a little on top.
  2. Place one half of the onions on bottom of pan.
  3. Season onions with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
  4. Place brisket on top of onions then other half of onions and allspice on top of brisket.
  5. Cover and roast in a 300 degree oven for 3 hours.
