creamy casher chicken with saffron

- Creamy cashew chicken With saffron shopping list
- 1 lb. chicken, boneless, cut into small cubes shopping list
- 2 tbsp oil or 2 tbsp ghee shopping list
- 2 cardamom, pods shopping list
- sticks cinnamon shopping list
- 2 cloves shopping list
- 4 bay leaf shopping list
- 1/4 cup ground almonds or 1/4 cup ground cashew shopping list
- 1/2 cup light cream shopping list
- 1 pinch saffron, soak in 1 tbsp water or milk shopping list
- fresh cilantro, for garnish shopping list
- garam masala, for garnish shopping list
- 1 large onion, quartered shopping list
- 1/4 cup ground tomato shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic paste shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste shopping list
- 1/2 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder shopping list
- 2 tsp cumin powder shopping list
- 2 tsp coriander powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- In a heavy bottom pot heat oil or ghee on a low heat. Add whole spices and sauté until they are slightly brown. Add paste mixture into pot with whole spices and fry until mixture is slightly browned. Add chicken cubes. Cover and cook over low heat until chicken is tender.
- Add ground nuts, cream and saffron. Cook further for 10 minutes until mixture is creamy and thick. Add a little water if necessary. Transfer into a serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves and garam masala.

- Put all the paste ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth
