Dasies are generally made of Distilled Luquor, grenadine or some other item to sweeten, and lemon or lime juice. Other cordials or liquers are often used in place of grenadine. Ingredients
- 1 glass cracked ice shopping list
- 1 dash Angostura bitters shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of YELLOW chartreuse shopping list
- 2 oz Bacardi rum shopping list
- 1/2 of an UNSQUEEZED lemon's peel shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon CASTOR sugar shopping list
- severa sprigs of mint shopping list
- 2 cherries, and fruits in season shopping list
How to make it
- Add mint to ice as one is filling glass
- Build drink by pouring liquour's into iced glass
- Cut Lemon Peel in a big long strip.. and curl into drink and over edge of the glass
- Garnish with Cherries and fruit and another sprig of mint.
- Note: a basic Daisy consists of your liquour (say Bourbon) juice from 1/2 lemon and 1/2 a lime (or some combination) and Grenadine for sweet.
- (sometimes Pernod is used instead of Grenadine.. for is anise flavour.. and sweetness), all piled in a glass FULL of ice.
- Generally a simple drink.
- Some people like to add less ice, and some soda instead.. so they dont have to wait till the ice melts to dilute the drink
- I have included here one of the most elaborate versions... (hey.. if your gonna go.. go for broke!)
