An interesting sauce, very suited to roast beef.

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 c beef stock
  • 1/2 c raisins
  • 1/2 c blanched almonds, crushed
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp horseradish

Directions
  1. Melt the butter, whisk in the flour to make a roux.
  2. Add stock and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, and reduce to 3/4 c. (or more, if a thicker sauce is preferred)
