MELTAWAY COOKIES

- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, very soft shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oven to 325 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar. Add egg yolk and vanilla. One cup at a time, stir in flour mixture. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased or parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes or until very lightly browned.
- Remove cookies from baking sheet and roll in powdered sugar while still slightly warm. Roll again after they have cooled completely.
- Note: If you use salted butter, omit the 1/8 teaspoon salt, as there will be enough in the butter.
