Grilled Glazed Tuna Steaks Recipe
GRILLED GLAZED TUNA STEAKS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tillman Estate in Forney, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon minced gingerroot
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 pound tuna steaks cut into 4 pieces

Directions
  1. Combine sherry, gingerroot, soy sauce, honey in garlic in a 1 cup glass.
  2. Microwave uncovered on high for 1 minute then cool slightly.
  3. Place tuna in a large baking dish then pour marinade over tuna.
  4. Cover and chill 2 hours then remove tuna from marinade, reserving marinade.
  5. Preheat a 10" browning skillet on high for 8 minutes.
  6. Arrange tuna on skillet with thickest portions to the outside.
  7. Microwave uncovered on high for 2 minutes then turn steaks over and baste with marinade.
  8. Microwave on high for 2 minutes longer then allow to stand covered 2 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately with warm marinade.
