Haddock Filets With Havarti and Mushrooms

- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 4 large scallions sliced shopping list
- 1 pound mushrooms sliced shopping list
- 1-1/2 pounds haddock filets shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 slices havarti cheese cut into 1/2" strips shopping list
- 2 tablespoon unseasoned bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 then grease a shallow baking dish with butter.
- Evenly scatter the scallions and mushrooms over bottom of dish.
- Place filets on top in a single layer.
- Mix wine and lemon juice together and pour over fish.
- Sprinkle with marjoram and black pepper then evenly distribute cheese strips over top.
- Crumple a large piece of waxed paper and wet it.
- Shake off excess water and place loosely over fish and bake 7 minutes.
- Remove fish from oven and take off waxed paper.
- Sprinkle fish with bread crumbs then bake 9 minutes.
- Remove fish from oven and heat broiler and broil just long enough to brown top of filets.
