Directions
  1. 1 (16-ounce) can apple pie filling
  2. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  5. 2 eggs
  6. 2 teaspoons baking soda
  7. 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  9. Frosting:
  10. 1 cup powdered sugar
  11. 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  12. 1/4 cup butter, softened
  13. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  14. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  15. Lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
  16. In a large bowl, combine pie filling, flour, sugar, oil, eggs, baking
  17. soda, cinnamon and salt.
  18. Pour into prepared pan and bake until cake tests done, about 1 hour. Cool.
  19. For frosting, combine powdered sugar, cream cheese, butter and vanilla.
  20. Mix to spreading consistency and frost cake.
  21. Makes 24 servings
