How to make it

  • Plunge the ripe peaches in boiling water for one minute. Peel.
  • Remove the pit and puree the fruit in the blender.
  • Transfer the puree to a sauce pan,
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove the cloves and let soup cool.
  • Chill the soup for at least 4 hours.
  • Serve in chilled bowls and garnish with a thin slice of orange.
