How to make it

  • Stir sugar, cocoa, and cornstarch in a saucepan on stove top
  • Slowly add milk
  • Cook over low to medium heat until mixture thickens, stirring often
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla
  • Serve over buttered biscuits *we like Hungry Jack*

    I lost touch with an aunt who makes this, and have been looking for the recipe. I remember requesting this for breakfast every time we visited her. Thanks for posting it!

    Thanks for the recipe...my mom has been talking about this, her mom used to make it for her...I have never heard of it, but she has been craving it so I will try to whip some up for her-again thanks!

    I'm not believin my eyes, either! There's a story about wanting to find this recipe. The day I signed on to this site, I told my oldest daughter that maybe it would show up. And it did! And its from Ark. no less. Feeling very magical right now. Food is not just about eating.
